Manzanita Music Festival coming in July 21st-23rd
Beth Carter-Boyer came by our studios at Manzanita Radio to tells us about the lineup for the Manzanita Music Festival this summer on July 21st to the 23rd, 2017 in Manzanita ,Oregon. There will be two stages and a shuttle between Rex Champ Field on Hwy 101 next to the Manzanita Lighthouse and the downtown stage on 4th street behind the Hoffman building where Mothers Nature and Left Coast Siesta.
Manzanita Music Festival was created to share the healing power of music in such a way that benefits all of us. The young and the old are positively affected by music education and therapy.
Manzanita Music Festival has partnered with local nonprofit Fulcrum Community Resources which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, which means that Manzanita Music Festival donations are 100% tax deductible.
Manzanita Music Festival's mission is to promote music and the arts, creativity, and to make music accessible to children in our schools.
Don't miss the amazing art panels that the seniors from Neahkahnie High School's Art Department have created specifically for the festival this year. A plan to develop a music therapy program for children with learning disabilities is also in the works.
The first goal for Manzanita Music Festival was to raise funds to replace the musical instruments at Neahkahnie High School. A recent local fundraiser hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Eason raised $2,000 towards funding the musical instruments for students and Fulcrum Community Resources matched that amount for the Music Festival!
There will be something for everyone in the family, young and old, at the Music Festival. There will be a Kids Zone sponsored by the North Coast Recreation District (NCRD) with face painting, bubble wands, dance parties, coloring activities and making homemade maracas. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the Kid's Zone.
